Solo traveling is a one-of-a-kind experience you have to try to truly appreciate. There’s just something about exploring a new place totally on your own terms. You get to plan your dream trip, figure out what you actually like, and leave feeling like a more confident version of yourself. But I won’t lie, planning solo vacations can feel overwhelming. You have to think about where you want to stay, what you want to see, any activities you may want to participate in—there’s a lot to it.
That’s why I always recommend starting with an all-inclusive vacation experience. The stress of planning meals, transportation, entertainment, and activities all melts away. Everything is all bundled into one easy package—you just show up and enjoy your experience!
If you’ve been thinking about your first solo trip but don’t know where to start, you’ve come to the right place. Here are my favorite all-inclusive experience ideas for solo female travelers—safe, fun, and totally worth booking.

5 All-Inclusive Vacations for Solo Female Travelers
Before you grab your passport and start packing, let’s talk all things all-inclusive. What exactly are these vacation packages? And how do you make the most of them when you’re flying solo?
I’m breaking down how all-inclusives work, why they’re such a win for solo travelers, and what to know when booking your first (or next!) solo all-inclusive vacation. It may sound intimidating at first, but it’s way easier than it sounds.

What Is an All-Inclusive Vacation?
All-inclusive vacations are basically the most relaxing way to travel. You pay one price upfront and everything’s handled from hotel, meals, drinks, activities, taxes, the whole deal. No need to hunt down restaurants or plan out excursions every day.
Most all-inclusive vacation packages are in a resort that has everything you need on-site. Cruises are also considered all-inclusive, but there are some additional expenses you may have to pay extra for. Don’t worry, though—I still included a couple options for all the cruise lovers.
So, what’s the difference from a regular trip? With an all-inclusive, there’s no juggling separate bills for flights, hotels, and food. Most things are included in the all-inclusive package, except maybe spa treatments, fancy excursions, top-shelf drinks, or specialty dining options. But the essentials? All covered.
Just a heads-up: All-inclusives aren’t really about saving every penny. Think of it more as paying for convenience and zero stress. Expect to spend a pretty penny ($1,500 to $6,000) for a week at a solid resort in Mexico or the Caribbean. But, take it from me, it’s so worth it. What Is Included in an All-Inclusive Vacation?
Most all-inclusive resorts include all the good stuff—your accommodation, meals, drinks, activities, and entertainment. Some even throw in local events, excursions, or airport transfers to make things extra easy.
Here’s what’s usually included:
- Your room
- All meals and snacks
- Drinks (even cocktails!)
- Resort activities and entertainment
- Events and themed nights
- Some excursions and transportation
That said, there’s always a list of extras. Premium upgrades, for example, typically come at a slightly higher cost. But honestly, most of what you’ll want is already part of the deal.

Mediterranean Cruise in Greece and Italy
If you want to check off multiple dreamy spots in one trip—without stressing about how to get from place to place—a Mediterranean cruise might just be for you. One day you’re wandering through Italian streets, the next you’re soaking up the sun in Greece. And in between? You’re living it up on the ship.
They feel incredibly safe and are packed with things to do, so it’s almost impossible to get bored. We’re talking pools, spas, martini bars, trivia nights, live shows—the works. And don’t even get me started on the food. You’ve got options for days.
If you’re ready to explore your options, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line both have awesome Mediterranean itineraries.
How to Book an All-Inclusive Vacation for Solo Female Travelers
Choose your destination.
The first step to booking your all-inclusive trip? Figuring out where you actually want to go. Think about how far you’re willing to travel, and what that method of travel (ideally) looks like to you. Are you cool with a red-eye flight to Europe? Or are you feeling more like a quick, easy trip down to Mexico or the Caribbean?
Then ask yourself: what kind of vibe are you after? If you’re craving wellness and zen energy, Costa Rica or Bali might be your spot. But if you’re more about lazy pool days and dancing all night, a Caribbean resort or a cruise could totally be your thing.
Decide what all-inclusive means to you.
All-inclusive packages aren’t always one-size-fits-all. Some resorts include flights and airport transfers as part of their packages. Others? Not so much—you’ll have to book those on your own.
So, before you get too far down the booking rabbit hole, figure out how much support or structure you want. Are you cool piecing things together yourself, or do you want a resort that handles everything for you? Knowing that upfront makes it way easier to pick the right spot for your trip.
Avoid peak holidays and travel seasons.
When you’re on a solo trip, the last thing you want is to feel like you’re crashing someone else’s family reunion. That’s why I always suggest skipping peak holiday weeks and busy seasons when booking your all-inclusive.
Traveling in quieter months means calmer vibes, extra attention from staff, and way fewer crowds around the pool. I almost ALWAYS aim to travel during the off-season or shoulder months.
Bonus: The off-season usually comes with better resort offers, like discounted rates or complementary upgrades. It’s a win-win for your peace of mind and your wallet.
Watch out for hidden fees.
Always check the fine print before booking your all-inclusive as a solo traveler. Some resorts and cruises sneak in what’s called a “single supplement” fee. Basically, they charge you extra just because you’re rolling solo. I know… rude.
While it’s annoying, it’s also pretty common. So make sure to factor it into your budget ahead of time. Or better yet, look specifically for resorts that welcome solo travelers without tacking on extra charges. Trust me, they’re out there!
Always remember to prioritize safety.
Even when you’re tucked away at a dreamy all-inclusive, solo traveler safety is still a thing—especially as a woman. Always share your location with friends or family back home, just so someone knows where you are. I also like to pack a little door alarm or portable lock for extra peace of mind in my room.
And a quick tip: Don’t go announcing to every new person you meet that you’re traveling solo. You can be friendly without oversharing—especially when it involves your safety.
