Okay yes, this one is technically in Noblesville and not within Indy city limits, but it’s one of my absolute favorites and totally worth the short drive north! Grindstone Public House nails that upscale-but-approachable vibe that makes it perfect for everything from family dinners to casual date nights. It’s located right off the square in downtown Noblesville, and the charming brick exterior and cozy interior set the tone as soon as you arrive.
The menu leans classic American with a little Southern comfort flair. Think fried chicken sandwiches, tender short ribs, and their house-made meatloaf that always hits the spot. One of the things I love most about Grindstone is how easy it is to bring people here. We’ve gone with family, friends, just the two of us—you name it. It’s actually been my family’s go-to Christmas Eve brunch spot for the last couple of years.

What started as a tucked-away upstairs bar at the original downtown location has now grown into full locations in both Carmel and Fishers, bringing the same elevated experience to the suburbs.
