Casa Albertina (mentioned above) is also a fantastic budget-friendly place to stay in Positano, and is one of my favorite spots I’ve stayed in all of Italy!
Consider the Location: Positano Town Center vs. The Hillside
One of the most important decisions when choosing where to stay in Positano is whether you want to be in the heart of the town or more tucked away on the hillside. Staying close to the center means being near the beach, restaurants, and shops, but it also means dealing with crowds and sometimes noisy streets.
If you prefer a quieter, more secluded experience, opt for accommodations higher up the cliffs. The views are spectacular, but keep in mind that the town is steep and walking can be a bit of a workout! The upside? A tranquil retreat, away from the hustle and bustle.
Positano is an enchanting destination, and the accommodations you choose can truly shape your experience. Whether you’re looking for five-star luxury, a private villa, or an intimate Airbnb experience, Positano offers it all. I had an unforgettable time exploring the town and soaking in the beauty of the Amalfi Coast, and no matter where you choose to stay, I’m sure you will too.
Don’t forget to wake up early to catch the sunrise, indulge in some of the best Italian cuisine, and take plenty of photos – because Positano truly is one of those places that feels like a dream come true. Happy travels!
Pro Tip:
Choose a property that’s slightly up the hill if you want some peace and quiet, but make sure you’re okay with walking a few steps to get to the beach.
Positano, Italy is one of the most magical places in the world, and choosing where to stay here can make all the difference in your experience!
