It’s beginning to look like cocktails! We recently had an amazing experience during my birthday dinner at Eddie Merlot’s, so we were so excited to try out some of their new holiday cocktails once they came out.
Eddie Merlot’s holiday cocktail menu has eight festive drinks on it, and we sampled six of them! I can not get over how well crafted these drinks are. You can tell they worked hard on incorporating each festive flavor all the way through to the garnish.
Holiday Cocktail Menu at Eddie Merlot’s
Peppermint Martini
First I tried the Peppermint Martini because I am always a sucker for anything peppermint. I start ordering my peppermint mochas in November and keep candy canes stashed at my desk all December. I first started making Peppermint Martinis at home a few holiday seasons ago, and theirs is absolutely fantastic! It’s made up of Godiva White Chocolate, Svedka, Crème de Menthe, cream, and candy canes of course!
Old Fashioned Christmas
Next up we sampled their Old Fashioned Christmas, which you guess right, is an Old Fashioned. It’s made up of Knob Creek Bourbon, orange bitters, fig preserves, and a Bordeaux cherry. This is definitely the drink for you if you’re wanting something festive, but no sugary.
Clausmopolitan
The one I was most excited about from all the photos I’d seen on social media was the Clausmopolitan. This martini is made up of Absolut vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, and lime juice. It’s garnished with a sugary rim and cranberries.
Rumchata Eggnog
My absolute favorite one we tried was this Rumchata Eggnog! You could probably put eggnog in anything and it’s going to be a winner in my eyes. It’s made up of Rumchata, old forester bourbon, Kahlua salted caramel, and eggnog (obviously!) I’d never had eggnog with bourbon before, but let me tell you I am now a big fan.
Cranberry Margarita
Next up was the Cranberry Margarita. Yes, you heard that right. A margarita in December. This tasty cocktail is made up of tequila, cointreau, cranberry juice, lime juice and agave syrup. I usually only like margaritas in the summertime, but this one was a nice festive twist on a classic!
Santa Needs a Nip
The last cocktail from their list that we tried would make the PERFECT dessert cocktail for after dinner. I always love an espresso martini after a great meal, and this one was perfect. The Santa Needs a Nip is made up of Peppermint Schnapps, Godiva White Chocolate, espresso, and chocolate sauce. It’s topped with shaved chocolate and a candy cane!
They also have a Holiday Bourbon Smash, and a Mistletoe Mule that sounds delicious. You can order from their holiday cocktail menu now through December 31!
