Ever since it’s grand opening at the beginning of the year The Garage Food Hall in the Bottleworks District has been the talk of the town. The main reason for this is its unique concept that includes a variety of great restaurants, drink spots, shops, and places to hang out in a casual and relaxed setting. One of those new restaurants is Clancy’s Hamburgers!
Like the historic bottling facility it occupies, Clancy’s comes from a family with a history in the restaurant business. Clancy’s Inc. is the company behind Clancy’s Hamburgers, Grindstone Charley’s, Grindstone Public House, Grindstone on the Monon, and Michaelangelo’s Italian Bistro. The first Clancy’s restaurant opened in Noblesville in 1965 with a simple vision: quality food at a reasonable price. After visiting the new Bottleworks location it’s clear that their commitment to quality is alive and well!
Clancy’s Hamburgers at The Garage
Clancy’s Hamburgers has a great variety of choices on their menu of burgers, fries, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, shakes (my favorite part!) and more. We stopped in recently for dinner and tried a little bit of everything.
Drinks
As always, I’ll start with drinks! My drink of choice at Clancy’s is obviously a milkshake. Their shakes are out of this world good, and they have a variety of classic flavors like vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate with the choice of adding cheesecake. I went with the strawberry cheesecake flavor, but they also had a Mint Cookies and Cream Shake of the Month available, so definitely check out their monthly flavors when you stop in. Clancy’s also has some bottled drinks available such as Triple XXX Root Beer, and fountain drinks. One great feature about The Garage is that if you’d like to grab a beer or cocktail to enjoy with your burger you can do that there as well!
Entrées
As far as entrees we wanted to make sure we tried at least one burger, one hot dog, and one of the chicken sandwiches. The Clancy’s Topper is their famous burger made up of two beef patties, american cheese, shredded lettuce, and Clancy’s Sauce on a double decker sesame seed bun. It’s EXACTLY what I picture when I think of a classic burger, and it is delicious! They have a variety of burger options ranging from $5.25-$8.95, including a Beyond Plant-Based option.
Next we tried out the Nap Town Nacho Dog, which if I’m being honest the name alone is what got me! Aside from the awesome name, the hot dog itself was delicious. It’s smothered in cheese sauce and piled high with crispy tortilla strips and jalapeno slices. They also have a Naked Frank, Mass Ave Dog, Classic Coney Dog, and a Cowboy Dog available.
Since we had heard great things about the chicken sandwiches we made sure to try one of those as well! They have a few different kinds such as a Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Bacon Ranch, and a BBQ Bacon Ranch one. We ended up going with the BBQ Bacon one and it was so good! Perfectly toasted bun, crispy onion petals, and loaded with bacon. Did I mention crispy onion petals?
Sides
For sides we tried the onion petals and a couple variations of their fries. I have to preface this with the fact that crinkle-cut fries are typically my least favorite kind, but Clancy’s fries are some of the best fries I’ve ever had! Seriously though, they’re the perfect amount of crispy and seasoned to perfection. I wouldn’t be opposed to ordering three large fries as my meal on my next visit, that’s how great they were! The best part? You can add cheese on them.
Overall, I was super impressed with the quality, taste, and prices Clancy’s Hamburgers has to offer! I definitely think it’s going to be a go-to option when visiting The Garage Food Hall at Bottleworks District. As a bonus, since we stopped by during March Madness, they had the games playing through a projector in the main dining area which I thought was really cool!
