With the most romantic day of the year just around the corner, people are scrambling for the perfect plans. Fortunately, Hedge Row’s culinary team has whipped up the recipe for love this Valentine’s Day.
We stopped in earlier this week to preview the menu that will be on special for Valentine’s Day next week, and it was fantastic.
We started out with the cocktail on special, the Negroni Sour. It’s bright red in true Valentine’s Day fashion, and is made up of gin, campari, lemon, orange bitters and egg white. We also tried out their New York Cocktail made up of bourbon, house grenadine, lemon. If you’d prefer wine with dinner over cocktails (or both!) then they’ve got a Syrah paired for the Valentine’s menu as well.
Next course on the menu is the Belgian Endive Salad. The sharable salad includes pear, soft-ripened goat cheese, candied hazelnut, cider vinaigrette, and it was fantastic! I really loved the hazelnut and goat cheese.
On to the entrees! We enjoyed the Pan-Roasted Filet, which is covered in king trumpet mushrooms, celery root, watercress, and winter truffle pan sauce. They’re also serving Seared Scallops & Clams over slow-braised white beans, roasted fennel, and rye croutons.
The dessert is definitely the perfect end to a romantic meal! Two can easily share the Molten Chocolate Soufflé. I’d recommend pouring the vanilla anglaise in the middle in true molten lava form.
Overall, we really enjoyed our early Valentine’s Day date night trying out Hedge Row’s special Valentine’s Day menu! I highly recommend booking your reservation for your date night in advance, and you can do so here: https://www.hedgerowbistros.com/event/valentines-day/
