I was so excited to learn that Clancy’s was opening another restaurant in Westfield! After visiting Grindstone Public House in Noblesville last year it quickly became one of my favorite spots on the Northside. Grindstone on the Monon is the perfect addition to the area.
The atmosphere could not be better with it’s flawless interior design, and probably one of the coolest bars I’ve seen in awhile. It gave off a rare modern rustic cabin kind of vibe the moment I walked in the door. Props to them for the execution on decorating!
We tried out a variety of their specialty cocktails and were impressed at the extensive list of spirits they had to offer. I really enjoyed the “Monon Lynchburg Lemonade” and if you’re a whiskey fan that likes cocktails you will too. Bonus points that they served the cocktails with gold metal straws!
The food was delicious and just as flavorful as I expected after dining at their sister restaurant. There is no way I’ll ever be able to stop in without getting an order of the Fried Green Tomatoes as an appetizer, they are just that good! We also tried an order of the Vegan Nachos, just because they intrigued us. I couldn’t believe how much their “cheese” dip tastes just like actual queso! Best vegan cheese I have ever tried, and I’ve tried a ton on my hunt for a decent one.
I ended up getting the Viking Farm Lamb Lollipops which are smothered in cucumber cumin tzatziki, tomato marmalade and pistachios, along with a side of green beans and mashed potatoes. I also tried out my friend’s order of the sliders which you can mix and match. The Fried Bologna one was AMAZING.
I had seen them post a photo of their carrot cake on their Instagram, so I knew I had to try that out for dessert. It definitely did not disappoint!
Overall I was really impressed with everything at the brand new Grindstone on the Monon in Westfield, and I’ll definitely be back!
