These fall cocktails are perfect for sipping on while watching football, cooking, catching up, and waiting for Thanksgiving dinner to begin! It only involve a couple ingredients, and of course some copper mugs. I used my favorite cinnamon vodka from Hard Truth for this for a hint of cinnamon in these, and you can find out where to snag a bottle here.

Ingredients:

• 1.5 oz. Hard Truth Cinnamon Vodka

• Fresh lime juice from half of a lime

• Fresh apple Cider

• Ginger beer

• Apple slices or cinnamon sticks for garnish

• Ice

You’ll also need a few pieces of cocktail supplies such as a bar spoon, measuring jigger, bar mat, and, of course, your copper mugs. The copper mug isn’t just for show—it helps keep the drink ice cold and adds that classic Moscow Mule charm. Traditionally, they are served in a copper mug due to their unique ability to enhance the drink’s overall experience. The metal is highly effective at conducting and retaining cold temperatures, which keeps your cocktail ice-cold from the first sip to the last. This is especially crucial for the refreshing qualities of the cocktail, which combines fresh lime juice, ginger beer and vodka.

If you’re a fan of Moscow Mule variations or don’t have access to the cinnamon vodka, you might also enjoy trying a Mexican Mule, which swaps out the vodka for a splash of tequila. Or, for another fall-inspired twist, consider adding a dash of cinnamon to your regular vodka mule for a spiced-up version of this classic. Moscow Mules are wonderfully versatile, and while the classic recipe of vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice is iconic, there are many creative variations to try. Here are a few popular ones to consider:

Maple Mule:

Another fun and festive mule! Introduce a hint of fall flavor with maple syrup. A splash of maple syrup adds a subtle sweetness and rich, earthy notes that complement the spicy ginger beer and fresh lime juice.

Mexican Mule:

Swap out vodka for tequila to give this mule a distinctive, agave-infused twist. The result is a vibrant cocktail with a unique depth of flavor that pairs beautifully with the spicy ginger flavor.

Kentucky Mule:

For a Southern twist, replace vodka with bourbon. This is one of my personal favorite ways to enjoy a mule and the kind I make the most often! The rich, smoky notes of bourbon add a warm, complex flavor that complements the ginger beer and lime juice, making it a favorite among bourbon lovers.

Gin Mule:

Use gin instead of vodka for a botanical spin on the classic. The herbal notes of gin blend harmoniously with the ginger beer, offering a refreshing and aromatic alternative.

Dark and Stormy Mule:

Combine the Moscow Mule with elements of the Dark and Stormy cocktail by adding dark rum. The rich, molasses-like flavors of dark rum create a deep, flavorful profile that pairs perfectly with the zingy ginger beer.

Berry Mule:

Enhance the mule with fresh or muddled berries like raspberries or blackberries. This variation introduces a fruity, sweet dimension that pairs wonderfully with the spiciness of ginger beer.

Cucumber Mule:

Add a refreshing twist by infusing your Moscow Mule with cucumber. Muddled cucumber or a cucumber garnish imparts a cool, crisp flavor that balances the spiciness of the ginger beer.

Spicy Mule:

For those who like a kick, incorporate a slice of jalapeño or a dash of hot sauce. This spicy variation adds a thrilling heat that contrasts nicely with the sweetness of the ginger beer.

Tropical Mule:

Bring a taste of the tropics to your Moscow Mule by adding pineapple juice or coconut water. This variation adds a sunny, exotic twist that pairs well with the ginger beer’s spice and the cocktail’s citrusy notes.

This Apple Cider Moscow Mule is more than just a cocktail; it’s a celebration of fall flavors in every sip!
