Aperol Spritz

The Aperol Spritz is a classic Italian aperitif, which is commonly enjoyed before a meal or as a happy hour beverage. It has become a very popular cocktail option among restaurants here over the last few summers, and I am all for it! I first tried these when visiting Italy a few years ago. We ordered them everywhere we went with snacks in between sight seeing. I’ve been making them at home ever since!

I recently received some Mionetto Prosecco to try out, so I figured this would be the perfect time for a recipe using it! Ive seen it at Kroger, Meijer, and Target before for sure. As far as getting your hands on some Aperol, I have always been able to find it at Target and Kroger, and it is also carried at a variety of other liquor retailers in the area.

There are many different versions of the Aperol Spritz, and I’m sharing my favorite recipe with you below!

  • 4 oz. Prosecco
  • 2 oz. Aperol
  • Soda water (I like to make mine with lemon-lime soda, such as Sprite, for a fun twist!)
  • Orange wedge for garnish
  • Straw

  1. Fill a large wine glass or spritz glass with ice
  2. Add prosecco, aperol, and top off with soda and gently stir
  3. Garnish with an orange wedge and a straw
  4. Enjoy!
